TunnelBear Enables Easy Access to Location-Restricted Web Sites in the US and UK
Windows and Mac: Tunnelbear is a two-switch VPN service that allows you to access content across the world. In the current version you can only switch between the US and the UK, but that's still pretty handle if you need a way to get to your favorite content from across the pond.
Using TunnelBear is really easy. Just download and install it, sign up for an account, and choose the location of the content you want to access. If you were in the UK and wanted to access Hulu, which is restricted to the US, you'd just select "US" on the location switch and then turn the power switch to the "ON" position. It'll take a moment for TunnelBear to do its thing, but within a few seconds it'll make web sites think you're in the US when you're not. And the same goes for the opposite—people in the US can appear to be in the UK. This would be especially exciting if Spotify hadn't just arrived in America.
Nonetheless, TunnelBear is an extremely helpful app for accessing all your favorite location-restricted sites. It offers 500MB per month for free, but you can pay $5 per month for unlimited data. It's available for both Windows and Mac, so go give it a try.
