If you were a fan of photographer Ben Heine’s fabulous Pencil vs. Camera project, or you’re a bit of a history buff, then there’s a good chance that you’ll find Jason Powell’s series Looking Into the Past as fascinating as we do. His images of the DC-area, which we spotted thanks to Bored Panda, marry historical photos from the Library of Congress’s epic collection with pics snapped in their modern-day settings — from a newsie in front of the Willard Hotel back in 1912 to the March on Washington in 1963.
